2xanadu Korea - Syd Mead's workshop in Seoul

As you may know, we recently completed a new identity and website for Korean film company Odyssey Pictures. They invited Syd Mead to make an appearance at the Seoul Digital Forum 2012 and we are very proud be involved in this event as one of the main sponsors.

In Syd Mead's workshop, celebrating the 30th anniversary of one of his works, ‘Blade Runner’, he demonstrated his works and advice on how to get started in Hollywood. His previous work covers movies like Elysium, Blade Runner, Alien, Star Trek, and Tron.

LIKESBICYCLES

We've just finished this window graphic for LikesBicycles, a new bicycle outlet in central Hong Kong. The artwork will be transferred onto a transparent 3M sticker to work with their window display. We are looking forward to seeing the design amongst one of the busiest high streets in Hong Kong!

BIKESCORNER - MOUNTAIN BIKE ILLUSTRATION

Bikes Corner is one of the biggest bike shops in Hong Kong and we are really excited to be supporting their brand development. They asked us to create a set of 3 illustrations for marketing and promotional purposes. Here's one so far, more to come soon!

Hardware+Tools Middle East

We recently completed an illustration for a tradeshow called "Hardware+Tools Middle East" based in Dubai. We were asked to create something for their new campaign that had a fresh look and was more vibrant and energetic than their previous advertisements.

The campaign was for B2B use and the show is not consumer based. Therefore we had to be careful to make sure we struck a balance, keeping it creative but also appealing to the commercial market and our target audience.

A little bit about the show:

Hardware+Tools Middle East has firmly established itself as a solid networking platform for manufacturers, suppliers, buyers and trade professionals within the industry in the region. They gather international manufacturers and trade professionals in one meeting place for suppliers and buyers to take a role in this exhibition, improving the efficiency and quality of their construction and building materials.

Odyssey Pictures

 

We've been hard at work this week on our first project from Korea, working with film company Odyssey Pictures. Established in 2009, they are the nation’s only film production company who handle the global content planning, development and production altogether.

We are developing their brand identity and creating their web presence. We have also just completed the above illustration for them to go on the site and for any marketing materials.

We have to thank our company president in Korea, Chan, for securing this project and managing it so well.

2xanadu x Colossi for Oxfam Circles

Last year, Oxfam - Circle launched the charity's pop up Curiosity shop with an auction at Selfridges. It raised over £215,000 in just two hours. Stars, including Livia and Colin Firth, Rupert Friend and Imogen Heap made bids over 12 lots. We were very glad to take part in it and our steel art fixed gear frame raised £6,000 just before the star prize of a singing performance by Annie.

This year we have the opportunity again to be involved in their charity project.  We are collaborating with Jan Kole of Colossi to support Oxfam - Circles with our bespoke dutch style bicycle. We are really happy to have a chance to collaborate with the "Steel Man", Jan Kole! He is a very experienced steel frame builder originally from The Netherlands and an ex-pro road cyclist who has been making customised handmade bikes since 1982. The bike we are producing is a combination of classic fashion and art. Here we have a small preview on part of our design for the bike.

HARDWARE + TOOLS MIDDLE EAST

We've been working on another pitch from Dubai for a tradeshow called "Hardware+Tools Middle East". Working under a tight deadline we managed to churn out 3 different illustrations and are working on a 4th concept too.

We wanted to make it a lot more appealing to traders, specifiers, construction industry professionals and the like in contrast to the usual boring marketing stuff they get to see!

Dubai Silicon Oasis

We were very busy last week working on a pitch for the Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) creating two visuals, one that communicated all of it's elements and one that showed it as a technological ecosystem, for B2B use. The deadline was very tight resulting a couple of late nights but we managed to finish it in the end. We're pretty chuffed with the work considering the amount of time we had!

Here's a bit of info on the DSO:

Dubai Silicon Oasis is a wholly-owned entity of the Government of Dubai and operates as a free zone technology park for semiconductor, microelectronic and other High Technology-based companies looking to set up their regional headquarters and R&D facilities in the Middle East and Africa region.  It was established with the objective of facilitating and promoting a state‐of‐the‐art, technology‐based hub in Dubai. Launched in 2004, DSO’s aim is to be one of the world’s leading centre of advanced electronic innovation, design and development.
